I am very proud of Merck Foundation Alumni, Dr. Ndikumana Sudi from Burundi who is one of the first Burundian graduate from Merck Foundation scholarship of Diabetes Mastercourse, who has now opened the first specialized Diabetes Medical Centre to help and manage diabetic patients in Burundi.

This is a great milestone.

Merck Foundation in partnership with The First Lady of the Republic of Burundi, H.E. ANGELINE NDAYISHIMIYE will contribute further to the transformation of diabetes care by providing a scholarship of master course of diabetes to the 11 other junior doctors who are working with Dr. Sudi in this center to complete the platform of skilled and trained Diabetes experts in Burundi for the first time ever.

Can you imagine how many patients they would be able to help!! At least 2000 families per month.

Merck Foundation touch people's lives every day.

Congratulations to our Merck Foundation Alumni!

Kind regards,

Senator, Dr. Rasha Kelej
