Rasha Kelej, Chief Social Officer, Merck Healthcare, has been appointed as a member of the Human Resources, Science and Technology Cluster of the African Union’s Economic, Social and Cultural Council. In doing so, the council recognizes Kelej’s great commitment to building research capacity and improving working conditions, in particular to benefit young scientists in Africa.
Amany Asfour, Chairwoman of the Human Resources, Science and Technology Cluster, referred to Kelej's “outstanding activities in the field of building capacity of young researchers in Africa and her devotion to the cause of promoting Scientific Research for the development of our African continent." In expanding the science and technology sectors, the Human Resources, Science and Technology Cluster of the African Union works closely with African governments.
