I am happy to share that the Merck Foundation Zimbabwe Annual Summit 2021 was held successfully together with my dear sister H.E. Mrs. AUXILLIA MNANGAGWA, First Lady of Republic of Zimbabwe & Ambassador of Merck More Than  A Mother. At our First Annual Summit, we discussed our joint programs to transform the patient care landscape in Zimbabwe via building healthcare capacity and raising awareness about breaking infertility stigma, and support girl education.

I am very proud to meet and acknowledge our 85 future healthcare experts of Zimbabwe who either graduated or undergoing or will join soon Merck Foundation scholarships of specialty training in critical and underserved specialties and to meet the 15 Winners of all Merck Foundation Media Recognition Awards & Stay at Home Awards who are our health and social community champions to break infertility stigma and raise awareness about other health and social issues such as coronavirus and girl education.

This is a very high number in a very short time, I am proud of all of you, keep up the good work. I look forward to receiving your entries for the Merck Foundation 2021 Awards.

I am very happy to also release, in partnership with the Zimbabwe First Lady and Ambassador of Merck Foundation More Than a Mother, H.E. Mrs. Auxillia Mnangagwa, three children storybooks. “Tudu's Story” to emphasize on the strong family values of love and respect from a young age which will reflect on eliminating the stigma of infertility and resulted domestic violence in the future, “Educating Rujeko Story” to emphasize on the importance of empowering girls through education and “Make the Right Choice Story” to raise awareness about coronavirus prevention amongst children and youth as it provides facts about the pandemic and how to stay safe and healthy during the outbreak.
